Job Title: RN - Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS & NRP Must-Have: - Minimum 1-year current acute care hospital Postpartum/Mom Baby experience - BLS certification - NRP certification Description: Travel RN position in Postpartum unit. Unit consists of 23 beds with approximately 80 staff members. Staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 9-10 RNs on the floor, 2-3 RNs in the nursery during the night shift. Patient ratio is estimated at 3 or 4:1, but not guaranteed. Main computer system is CPN EMR - Meditech/CPN. The role involves monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing perineal care. Educating parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding is an integral part of the role. Candidates should have flexibility with their schedule and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, patient, and a team player. Communication with staff and providers is a priority.
