We are seeking a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in preparing legal documents, conducting research, and managing cases related to bankruptcy proceedings.
Duties:
- Assist attorneys in drafting and filing bankruptcy petitions, schedules, and other legal documents
- Conduct legal research on bankruptcy laws and procedures
- Interview clients to gather necessary information for bankruptcy filings
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date
- Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and court personnel
- Prepare correspondence and communicate with clients regarding case status updates
- Perform data entry tasks related to bankruptcy cases
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Bankruptcy Paralegal or similar role
- Knowledge of bankruptcy laws and procedures
- Proficiency in legal administrative tasks such as drafting legal documents and conducting legal research
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent proofreading skills to ensure accuracy of legal documents
- Familiarity with project management principles in a legal setting
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Experience in data entry and maintaining detailed records
