Travel Physical Therapist - $2,416 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Travel Physical Therapist to provide a 13‑week assignment at a facility in Hayward, California, beginning 07/06/2026. The role requires 40 hours per week on 8‑hour shifts. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy Physical therapy experience (new graduates are welcome) Other certifications or licenses may be required Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ conditions using standardized tests, examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using exercise, manual therapy, and modalities to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate physical therapy equipment safely and ensure proper maintenance. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management. Maintain a safe treatment environment by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transition of care. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
