Company Description Piedmont Truck Center is a comprehensive commercial vehicle service facility that handles repairs in-house to deliver timely service, high quality, and strong value for customers. The center operates an 18-bay heavy vehicle service capable of working on all over-the-road trucks, with franchises to perform warranty repairs on major engine brands including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Mercedes-Benz. It also offers light vehicle repair with a large team of Ford-certified Power Stroke technicians, supporting F-150 to F-550 vehicles and specialized Power Stroke engines. Additional services include authorized Ford warranty work on RV chassis, a full machine shop for advanced engine and component repairs, certified component rebuild capabilities, a well-stocked parts department for multiple manufacturers, and a body and paint center with a state-of-the-art paint booth. Role Description The Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based at Piedmont Truck Center in Greensboro, NC. In this position, the Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, greeting guests, answering and directing phone calls, and providing courteous and professional customer service. Daily responsibilities include managing the front desk, handling inquiries, routing calls and messages to appropriate team members, and maintaining a tidy and organized reception area. The role also involves performing clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, mail distribution, and assisting with scheduling or appointment coordination as needed. The Receptionist works closely with service, parts, and administrative teams to ensure smooth communication and a positive experience for customers and vendors. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Phone Etiquette and Receptionist Duties skills, including answering, screening, and directing calls and greeting visitors in a professional manner. Candidates should possess solid Clerical Skills, such as filing, data entry, basic recordkeeping, and managing mail or office supplies. Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and the ability to relay information accurately. Candidates should possess proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, patience, and problem-solving for a diverse range of visitors and callers. Basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, office software, phone systems) and the ability to learn company systems. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability in managing front-desk responsibilities. Experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role in a service, automotive, or similar environment is beneficial.
