Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Manufacturing Engineer. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing all manufacturing stages of industrial surface finishing products, including processes such as shot blasting, shot peening, aqueous wash, and vibratory deburring equipment. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager.
Responsibilities

• Organize and improve production floor layout.
• Manage material utilization and reduce scrap rates.
• Collaborate with design engineers and fabricators to reduce costs through Lean manufacturing activities.
• Calculate material usage and labor hours for post-production project reviews.
• Lead and document quality control processes for each project before shipment.
• Verify component quality and correct issues for vendor-sourced items.
• Record warranty items and determine root causes and preventative measures.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Solidworks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with process improvement, process engineering, and continuous improvement.
• Knowledge of project management, machining, design, Lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
• Ability to create work instructions, reduce scrap, and engage in R&D engineering.
• Experience with costing and familiarity with QuickBooks or other MRP/ERP systems.

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
