Job Description
The Automotive Diagnostic Technician will be responsible for performing detailed vehicle diagnostics and system testing primarily on a mixed fleet of vehicles. Utilizing both manufacturer-specific tools and generic OBD-II scanners, the technician will analyze and resolve faults with minimal customer interaction. This role offers growth opportunities, including advancement to Lead Technician.
Responsibilities
- Conduct vehicle diagnostics using manufacturer-specific tools and generic OBD-II scanners
- Perform thorough system testing to identify mechanical and electrical faults
- Analyze fault codes and develop effective repair solutions
- Maintain accurate diagnostic records and service reports
- Work efficiently with minimal customer contact while coordinating with the service team
- Efficiently detail all test procedures, findings, and parts needed for recommended repairs
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in automotive diagnostics
- Associate degree in Automotive Technology or related field
