Clinical Laboratory Team Lead
Labcorp
Clinical laboratory team leader role at Labcorp's Raleigh facility overseeing daily operations, staff development, and technical testing procedures. Monday-Friday schedule with responsibility for specimen processing, instrumentation management, and quality assurance in a high-volume laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist supervisor with daily departmental operations and report production metrics
- Train new hires and support development of current laboratory staff
- Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures
- Operate instrumentation, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain quality control procedures
- Monitor inventory, maintain safe work environment, and communicate progress to management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science
- Minimum 4 years clinical laboratory testing experience
- ASCP or AMT certification preferred
- Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Physical capability to perform laboratory duties
