Off-Road Haul Truck Driver – Appomattox, VA Rogers Group, headquartered in Nashville, TN, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company with quarry and asphalt operations in 13 states and over 3,500 employees. Rogers Group is currently seeking an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver for our Virginia SMA operations in the Appomattox, VA area. The successful candidate will have experience operating articulated and/or rigid frame haul trucks and a strong focus on safety excellence. Job Details Wages starting at $18.00 per hour for entry-level candidates; some positions require no experience and Rogers Group will provide training. Higher pay for skilled operators with quarry and mining experience; overtime available. Extensive medical and retirement benefits. Primary duty is operating haul trucks to remove overburden and stripping material for quarry production. Job Responsibilities Perform daily pre‑op and post‑op inspections with proper documentation in compliance with company policies. Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management. Maintain effective communication skills applicable to the position. Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency. Follow all company policies and OSHA, MSHA, and Environmental regulations for safe working procedures. Maintain a clean motor vehicle record and possess a valid driver’s license. Qualifications Dedication to safe work practices. Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred. Ability to perform general laborer and clean‑up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions and tolerate loud noise. Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co‑workers or supervisors with other duties as required. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed. Pass pre‑employment drug screen. Able to provide valid documentation for the I‑9 immigration document.
