Survey TechnicianNV5 is seeking a full-time Survey Technician, for our Alpharetta, GA office. This entry level position will assist the Crew Chief and Survey Coordinator for timely completion of assignments. Those who enjoy working outside and are looking to build a career in an exciting industry that is ever changing with the advancements in technology, should apply.The most frequent and essential work activities include:Operate the survey total station and level instruments.Organize and maintain all survey field equipment.Assist Crew Chief with survey files and field calculations.Transporting and setup of surveying equipment and instruments.Implementing the safety plans and risk mitigation measures set forth.Clear vegetation or debris as directed for surveying measurements.Assist the Crew Chief in recording measurements by operating prism and level rods.Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager and Group Manager.Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDEntry level, 0+ years of experience.Ability to travelMust possess a valid driver's license, clean background check and drug screeningBehavioral traits, attitudes, and skills required for this position:Excellent communication skills – written and verbalAttention to detailQuality orientedPatientTeam orientedResponds well to constructive criticismService oriented demeanorWork environment and physical demands of this position:The characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
