Job Title: Assembler Job Description
The Assembler will disassemble, catalog, repair, replace, and reassemble major systems and components on construction equipment and similar vehicles. This role involves safely mounting and connecting hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other system components, while using computer systems to follow work instructions, cross-reference part numbers, check inventory, and reference production tables.
Responsibilities- Disassemble construction equipment and related machinery in a safe and organized manner.
- Catalog parts accurately to ensure proper identification, tracking, and reassembly.
- Repair or replace major systems and components, including hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Reassemble equipment according to specifications and work instructions, ensuring proper fit and function of all components.
- Safely mount and connect hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other vehicle system components using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Use computer systems to look up and follow detailed work instructions for each job.
- Cross-reference part numbers and verify correct components before installation or replacement.
- Check inventory levels and confirm availability of required parts and materials.
- Reference production tables and documentation to maintain accuracy and efficiency in the assembly process.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, drills, and other equipment required for mechanical assembly and repair.
- Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality to support production schedules and team workflow.
- Minimum of 2+ years of related work experience and/or training in mechanical assembly, equipment repair, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience working with construction equipment or similar machinery.
- Ability to safely mount and connect hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other system components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and drills for mechanical assembly and repair tasks.
- Ability to navigate computer systems to look up work instructions, cross-reference part numbers, check inventory, and reference production tables.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when cataloging parts and following technical instructions.
- Consistent and reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Previous mechanical experience in the military or construction equipment industry is highly desired.
- Experience with hydraulics and hydraulic systems in an industrial or vehicle environment.
- Experience with electrical systems and equipment repair.
- Comfort working in a production or industrial environment.
- Ability to use a variety of mechanic’s tools safely and effectively.
- Willingness to follow established safety protocols and wear required protective equipment.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a large industrial facility within an older warehouse setting. The workspace is indoors, and team members are not exposed to outdoor elements while performing their duties. Only a small number of people work at this location, creating a focused and less crowded environment. Safety is a priority, and employees must wear safety glasses and steel-toe footwear while on the floor. The position operates on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour shifts, providing a structured and predictable workweek.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edenton, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
