Position Registered Nurse Location Charlottesville, VA Shift Third (Nights) Travel Type 14‑Week Traveler Pay $65‑$70 per hour Employer Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital Description The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process. The standards of practice—including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care‑teaching and health promotion, and evaluation—along with professional performance standards (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) guide clinical practice. The RN applies clinical knowledge and skills to meet the standards required in specific clinical areas. Qualifications RN Degree – ADN, BSN, or MSN Valid RN License to practice in Virginia Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications At least 2 years of recent bedside experience in a hospital on med/surg, telemetry, or IMCU Responsibilities Primary duties include assessing and admitting patients, performing rounds, administering medications, communicating with family members, and ensuring overall patient care. Teamwork is integral, with collaboration among all staff to provide the best care for patients.
