Transportation Operations Administrator

Exeter, NH | Full-Time | Day Shift | $50,000–$65,000/Year + Benefits

We’re looking for a Transportation Operations Administrator to help keep the wheels turning behind the scenes.

This is a busy, hands-on admin role supporting a transportation operation. You’ll work closely with the Transportation Director and have your hands in billing, permits, paperwork, customer calls, data entry, spreadsheets and day-to-day operational support.

If you’re organized, good with numbers, know your way around a computer and don’t let things fall through the cracks, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do

• Process payments, billing and purchase orders
• Follow up on outstanding balances and help straighten out billing issues
• Prepare and track transportation permits
• Manage DocuSign paperwork and signatures
• Keep permits, customer records and paperwork organized
• Review transactions and spreadsheets for accuracy
• Track down discrepancies and get them fixed
• Enter call information into Towbook and TOPS
• Perform basic call reviews and audits
• Maintain operational and financial spreadsheets
• Handle customer questions by phone and email
• Help resolve billing and service issues
• Keep digital and physical files organized
• Stay on top of deadlines, paperwork and recurring tasks

What We Need

You don't need to be a CPA or a transportation guru. We need someone who is sharp, organized and takes pride in getting the details right.

• 2+ years of experience in administration, billing, accounting support, customer service or a similar role OR an Associate’s degree in Business or a related field
• Comfortable working with numbers, payments and spreadsheets
• Solid Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
• Good phone and email communication skills
• Able to deal with customers professionally when things don't go according to plan
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Able to handle multiple things at once without losing track
• Comfortable learning new software and systems
• Transportation, trucking, towing, logistics or fleet experience is a plus

Experience with DocuSign, Towbook or TOPS is helpful, but not required.
