Details High-risk, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit with 31 rooms/beds and 4 ORs Average daily census of 15 patients with 500-600 deliveries per month Patient population includes midwifery clients, private OB patients, Adult Recovery Services (substance recovery support), and community care clinic patients Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Schedule posted every 6 weeks based on unit needs Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed Float required to Post Partum/Antepartum and sister facilities providing Mother/Baby care Uses Epic EMR and electronic fetal monitoring Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission Current BLS and NRP certifications required ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, and AWHONN Intermediate certifications preferred Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience required, 2-3 years preferred High-risk L&D experience required Epic charting experience required Experience with patient ratios of 1:1-2 Skilled in circulating for C-sections, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, forceps/vacuum extraction, and hemorrhage/shock management Experience administering Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate Able to function as Baby Nurse during delivery, providing newborn care including eyes, thighs, and assessments until transfer to postpartum 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required Full SSN and DOB required for compliance Additional Information Circulate for deliveries and provide comprehensive newborn care including eye care, Vitamin K injections, and newborn assessments Functions as Baby Nurse during delivery and continues newborn care until transfer to postpartum Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines First-time travelers accepted with required experience Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius Former Providence permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month separation if outside the 50-mile radius Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including permanent, travel, or registry/per-diem roles Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Pre-approved time off considered on a case-by-case basis and must be requested at time of submission Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the region American Traveler Job ID P-765797.
