Job Summary: Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (Oncology) Dallas, Texas. This role supports oncology patients within a medical-surgical oncology unit, including activities related to replacing blood and electrolytes. Patient care is delivered with an emphasis on compassionate support and adherence to unit-specific clinical guidelines. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; oncology background.
• Preferred Qualifications: Hematology-oncology (hemonc) background and chemo certification.
• Patient care responsibilities on an oncology unit, including replacing blood and electrolytes.
• Adherence to unit guidelines and infection prevention practices, including neutropenic precautions, strict intake and output monitoring, and regular care standards such as CHG bathing and linen changes every 24 hours, dressing changes every 7 days, and lines and cap changes every 96 hours.
• Work schedule expectations include rotating weekends and no on-call coverage.
• Unit clinical precautions and safety expectations include: no children under 16 allowed.
• Dress code: Royal blue scrub attire.
