Texas Licensed Deputy CISO

Managing day-to-day operations, the full-time Texas Licensed Deputy CISO will oversee four functional teams, drive compliance initiatives, and standardize security processes across multiple legacy environments in a remote setting. Key responsibilities Directly manage functional leads in GRC, AppSec, Cloud/Vulnerability, and SecOps, ensuring accountability and delivery Own the operational roadmap for SOC 1, SOC 2, and PCI DSS compliance, including evidence collection and audit readiness Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits and manage vendor relationships for security tooling and operations Required qualifications 10+ years in information security, with at least 4 years in a management role overseeing security teams or functional leads Direct experience with SOC 1 or SOC 2 audits and PCI DSS assessments as a control owner or program lead Experience with FedRAMP or GovRAMP authorization processes, including control implementation and SSP development Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms and cloud security tooling Proven track record of standardizing security processes across multiple business units or environments
