Lead Mover/General Labor

Job Title: Lead Mover/General Labor
Location: Hammond, Indiana
Type: Contract To Hire
Compensation: $20.00 to $23.00
Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Assist with moving duties such as packing and lifting heavy boxes
• Oversee the team of porters/movers
• Provide direction to team and keep the team on track
• Perform tasks involving squatting, long periods of standing, bending, and moving belongings
• Engage in light cleaning as needed
• Potentially perform very light repairs that do not require tools (unlikely)

• Minimum of 5 years of experience leading, supervising or managing a team of individuals
• Ability to lift heavy objects, perform physical tasks, and stand for extended periods
• Reliable and able to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Able to provide direction to team and do what the team members are doing
