Job Title Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate – Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate Pay Rate & Commission $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate. Employees also earn unlimited commission above the base rate. Pawnbrokers / Retail Sales Associates may earn 2–8% commission based on gross profit of their personal performance. Best working hours: most stores open at 9 AM, close at 6 PM; many stores are closed on Sundays. FirstCash Pet Insurance program. Position Overview We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and interact with customers, process sales, loans, and other transactions, and resolve inquiries. You will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics and firearms (in FFL locations). Responsibilities Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend financial solutions. Performs non‑management open/close procedures. Makes the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays. Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies and regulations. Handles cash and negotiable items following established procedures. Answers incoming calls per company standards. Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers. Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect. Partners with all employees to provide a positive customer experience. Successfully completes assigned training. Other related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Must be willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds. Must be willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting. Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified. Employees may be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve items from exterior storage areas. Minimum age 18 years. High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Basic math calculations proficiency. Cash handling experience preferred. Will willing to work in multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
