As a Water Well Driller Assistant/Helper, you will support the driller on residential, agricultural, and industrial well projects. Reporting to the lead driller, project manager, or owner-operator, you will assist with site preparation, drilling operations, equipment handling, and jobsite safety while traveling locally each day. This role offers opportunities to advance through driller training, crew leadership, and equipment operator progression.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain drilling sites for daily operations.
- Assist the driller with residential, agricultural, and industrial water well projects.
- Operate drilling and support equipment under crew direction.
- Handle drill rods and manage drilling mud and related materials.
- Maintain drilling tools, equipment, and jobsite materials.
- Follow jobsite safety procedures and support safe crew operations.
- Load, move, and organize materials and equipment.
- Clean and restore the worksite after drilling activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in water well drilling.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Commercial Driver’s License.
- Experience operating drilling equipment.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Experience handling drill rods and maintaining equipment.
- Knowledge of jobsite safety practices.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
