Registered Nurse/L and D - Days

Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Minimum Education:

Graduate of a Program in Professional Nursing required. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Skills:

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units.

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association required or within six (6) months of hire. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required or within six (6) months of hire. Other - New Graduate RN ACLS, NRP required within one (1) year of hire

Licenses:

Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State required
