RNG Plant Manager

AD Energy is recruiting for an experienced Plant Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) upgrading facility in South Dakota. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you'll take ownership of plant performance, safety, maintenance, and operational excellence. You'll oversee a small site team while ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, playing a key role in maximising production and maintaining high operational standards. This opportunity would suit someone with experience in RNG, biogas, natural gas, oil & gas, industrial processing or a similar heavy industrial environment who enjoys leading from the front. The Role As Plant Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall operation of the site, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining a strong safety culture and high levels of equipment reliability. Key Responsibilities Take full responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the RNG upgrading facility. Lead, mentor and develop a small team of plant personnel. Drive a strong health, safety and environmental culture across the site. Monitor plant performance and maximise uptime while minimising operational downtime. Manage operating budgets and control site expenditure. Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Troubleshoot operational and mechanical issues across the plant. Ensure accurate operational reporting and production data collection. Support renewable fuel reporting and environmental compliance requirements. Liaise with senior leadership regarding plant performance, improvements and operational strategy. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability and overall plant performance. What We're Looking For Previous experience managing or supervising an industrial processing facility. Experience within Renewable Natural Gas, biogas, natural gas, oil & gas, chemical processing or a similar industrial environment. Strong knowledge of compressors, gas handling equipment, electrical systems, PLC controls, flow meters and industrial process equipment. Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a small operations team. A safety‑first mindset with experience of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and safe systems of work. Comfortable making operational decisions independently while working closely with senior management. Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Valid driver's licence. Physical Requirements This is a site-based position requiring regular work in an industrial environment. The role involves walking across uneven ground, climbing stairs and ladders, operating equipment, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Why Apply?
