Your Impact As a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) at MetroEHS, you will: Help children overcome daily challenges by supporting their participation in meaningful activities through therapeutic interventions. Deliver hands-on, play-based therapy in an outpatient clinic setting, following evidence-based, sensory-integrative, and developmental approaches. Collaborate closely with licensed Occupational Therapists to develop, implement, and progress individualized treatment plans. Track and assess client progress, contributing to updates in plans of care and discharge planning. Educate families and caregivers on home exercise programs and strategies to support continued progress outside of therapy sessions. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in alignment with clinical best practices and regulatory standards. Work as part of a collaborative team of healthcare professionals to enhance each child's functional abilities and overall well-being. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant program with the minimum of an associate degree. Possess a valid state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License as required by the State of Michigan. Current registration and licensure with NBCOT Physical & Environmental Requirements Active & Engaged Work – Kneeling, bending and playing at ground level. Hands-On Support – Lifting up to 50+ lbs may be required. Quick Reflexes – Ability to respond to behaviors such as elopement (running away) or aggressive actions. Loud or Noisy Environments – Working with active children in dynamic settings. Potential Exposure to Bodily Fluids – Assisting with hygiene or accidental incidents. Clinic Location South Lyon Status Full-time Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm or 4 10-hour days Compensation After applying, a member of our recruiting team will call to review the pay range and opportunities for additional compensation through productivity bonuses. Compensation varies based on each clinician's unique skills and experience.
