Registered Nurse - RN

Healogics is the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the United States, treating more than 300,000 chronic wound patients annually across over 600 sites. Under the direction of the Wound Care Center Clinical Nurse Manager/Clinical Coordinator, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides patient care and handles intake and discharge processes for the Wound Care Center patients as scheduled. The position may also serve as a Case Manager to a group of assigned Wound Care Center patients, depending on the Center’s setup. Responsibilities Provide patient care to Wound Care Center patients and manage intake and discharge processes. Assist in vein clinic duties after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training. Perform initial nursing assessment, communicate findings with the assigned physician, assess wound stage and measurements, document care plans, evaluate patient status relative to desired outcomes, and identify situations requiring intervention. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide education to patients or caregivers. Serve as a patient advocate in the delivery and coordination of care. Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) related duties and, upon completing the required safety director training, may perform hyperbaric safety director duties. Collaborate with other healthcare providers, Wound Care Center Providers, the Program Director and the Medical Director regarding clinic and patient needs. Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy. Perform any other duties as required. Required Education, Experience and Credentials Degree in Nursing (ADN) Current RN license in the state of practice – to be maintained throughout employment Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred Medical Surgical, Home Health or Wound Care Certification preferred Wound care experience preferred Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Demonstrated competency in BLS (Basic Life Support) Strong organization, prioritization and time‑management skills Basic knowledge of regulatory and accrediting requirements for healthcare organizations Strong interpersonal, listening, oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to translate technical terms into layman’s terms Customer service and follow‑up skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Teaching skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Team collaboration and ability to work with others Calmness in all situations Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) Working knowledge of computerized nursing systems Physical Demands Stationary position for extended periods (4+ hours) Repetitive motions, moving around, pushing/pulling objects Reading, bending/stooping, reaching/grasping, communicating, hearing, writing and visual tasks Travel to various sites (car, airplane, etc.) Color perception and lifting objects up to 20 pounds, and up to 75 pounds with equipment assistance Extended computer use Work Environment Normal office environment Patient care environment with exposure to mechanical equipment and electrical currents Proximity to moving objects and exposure to hazards (bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, toxic chemicals, flammable gases, etc.) Compensation Hourly rate ranges from $39.88 to $50.26 per hour based on qualifications. #J-18808-Ljbffr
