We're looking for a passionate, reliable Pastry Assistant to join our team for the upcoming season. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves baking, enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, and takes pride in creating quality desserts and pastries from scratch, while having the opportunity to further their knowledge in culinary skills. 

Primary Responsibilities 

• Prepare a variety of desserts, pastries, breads, muffins, cookies, cakes, and other baked goods. 
• Assist with daily pastry/dessert/pantry production and seasonal menu items. 
• Ensure all products are made consistently to recipe and presentation standards. 
• Keep pastry displays and dessert inventory stocked throughout service. 
• Help with prep, portioning, labeling, and proper food storage. 
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation always. 
• Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures. 
• Assist with ordering, inventory, and minimizing food waste when needed. 
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and management. 
• Check in truck orders and putting orders away, helping maintain FIFO organization. 

Expectations 

• Arrive on time and prepared for each shift. 
• Be dependable, self-motivated, and willing to learn all areas of the kitchen (pantry/sauté/grill/prep). Additional stations that you master may earn higher compensation.  
• Work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. 
• Maintain a positive attitude under pressure. 
• Accept feedback professionally and continuously strive to improve. 
• Be respectful, supportive, and contribute to a positive kitchen culture. 
• Take pride in producing high-quality products every day. 
• Be flexible and willing to assist other kitchen stations when needed. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Previous pastry or baking experience preferred. 
• Ability to multitask in a high-volume kitchen. 
• Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods. 
• Availability for seasonal hours, including weekends and holidays.

Compensation 

• Hourly wage for this position starts at $18/hr
