IT Technician-NonEx

The IT Technician is responsible for providing support to Derby City Gaming for operating system requirements. Sets up new hardware such as personal computers, printers, servers, phones, etc. Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications. Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documents. Provides quality customer service to our users through problem resolution and process demonstration. Educates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way. Provides onsite support for the gaming facility, including weekend and night-shift work. Administers server-based systems across all departments. Creates and maintains technical documentation.

Oral and written communication skills. Excellent internal and external guest service. Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the IT department. Two to three years of experience as an IT Technician. Degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred. Valid Racing License.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The employee is subjected to circulate throughout the assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and functioning of machines.
