Senior Mechanical Engineer, PE

An established MEP consulting engineering firm in San Antonio is adding a Senior Mechanical Engineer to its building systems team. You'll lead HVAC and plumbing design on data center, telecommunication center, commercial, healthcare, higher education, and institutional projects from concept through construction administration, and you'll mentor junior engineers along the way. What You'll Do Lead mechanical design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, including load calculations, equipment selection, and energy analysis Produce and stamp construction documents, specifications, and calculations Act as the main mechanical point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors Coordinate with the electrical and structural disciplines, and review shop drawings and RFIs Mentor and QA/QC the work of junior engineers and designers Make site visits and handle construction administration What You Bring A BS in Mechanical Engineering An active PE license, or the ability to get Texas licensure by comity 8+ years of building MEP design experience at a consulting engineering firm Strong working knowledge of ASHRAE standards, IMC/IPC, and energy codes Experience with Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and load software such as Trace 3D Plus or HAP LEED AP or healthcare experience is a plus Why This Role A senior seat with a clear path to Associate or Principal Hybrid schedule flexibility Full benefits, 401(k) match, PTO, and paid PE and continuing-education costs All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
