Overview
Registered Nurse – Infusion in Sitka, Alaska. Start date: 08/24/2026. 13-week travel assignment in a hospital-based infusion program. Weekly pay: $3,153 to $3,246 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 5x8 days. This assignment focuses on infusion therapy, immunotherapy and chemotherapy support as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
- Administer immunotherapy and chemotherapy or other specialty IV medications per orders and approved infusion protocols.
- Monitor patients during and after infusion, assess for adverse reactions, and document findings in the medical record; escalate concerns to the referring provider as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee infusion referrals, tests, and treatments with other offices or specialties to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain IV access devices (including central lines such as PICC/CVCs) and operate infusion pumps and monitoring equipment; ensure infection control and safety standards.
- Prepare patients prior to infusion, review orders, communicate with the referring physician and pharmacy, and provide post-discharge education as indicated.
- Support clinic operations and staff, participate in ongoing staff development, and contribute to quality improvement activities.

Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Alaska (or active license from another U.S. state with Alaska license in process for Direct Hire; agency staff must hold an active Alaska license).
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience; immunotherapy/chemotherapy infusion experience required or strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of infusion pharmacology, IV therapy, infection control, and monitoring of patient response; ability to operate infusion pumps and relevant monitoring equipment; proficiency with electronic health records.
- Flu vaccine requirement.
- Start date eligibility tied to fingerprinting/background check processing; start date will be no sooner than six weeks after fingerprinting is submitted and processed.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with the ability to obtain Alaska RN licensure.
