Job Summary Contract and perform installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of manufacturing machinery, building and facility equipment fixtures, and systems. This highly skilled position accomplishes the most difficult troubleshooting and repairs on all the equipment in the facility, ensuring continuous and uninterrupted functioning of all manufacturing equipment and facility systems. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment including stamping presses, slitting equipment, metering equipment (pumps), and other custom hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical machinery. Communicate and coordinate with external contractors to perform repairs and maintenance where needed; work with contracted repair personnel as required. Provide accurate and timely documentation of work performed in the maintenance tracking software and document storage system; communicate status, root cause, and corrective actions to the production team. Analyze equipment repairs/solutions and recommend improvements, driving actions to reduce downtime and improve quality. Help maintain orderly maintenance department equipment and spare parts inventory. Attend outside training, including travel to other facilities to upgrade skills. Contribute to safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives. Work additional hours as needed. Advanced mechanical and electrical logic troubleshooting and repair. Advanced electrical skills: diagnose control circuits, drives, PLCs. Experience repairing mechanical and electrical equipment. Experience with MIG & TIG welding. Valid driver’s license. Requirements Preferred: Experience repairing facility infrastructure including plumbing, electrical, and pneumatic problems. Physical Requirements Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; required to move about position at least 75% of the time. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities: adjust focus and see details at close range. Frequently adjust machine controls to exact positions at least 75% of the time. Must use personal protective equipment including safety shoes, safety glasses, goggles, hard hats, air‑purifying respirator, or supplied‑air respiratory protection as required. Work Environment The work environment is typical of most shop environments, not climate‑controlled and subject to outdoor weather conditions. Team members are exposed to elevated sound and noise levels.
