Responsibilities: As an Accounting Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization's financial operations. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Journal Entries and General Ledger: Prepare, review, and verify journal entries to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions. Monitor interfaces into the general ledger system to maintain data integrity.
• Reconciliations and Analysis: Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations and develop analysis and reports as required. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in balance sheet fluctuations.
• Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate journal entries, improving efficiency and accuracy in the financial close process. Streamline processes and implement enhancements to drive efficiency.
• Technical Accounting: Research and prepare technical accounting memos to address complex accounting matters and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Treasury Functions: Perform treasury functions, including preparing payments and managing cash flow to optimize liquidity management.
• Financial Reporting: Participate in the preparation of quarterly reviews and year-end activities with external auditors. Ensure timely and accurate financial statement reporting.
• Consolidation and Equity Accounting: Manage the consolidation of subsidiary and joint venture results, including intercompany eliminations and equity accounting.
• Policy Development and Compliance: Contribute to the development of company accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with approved policies.
• System Enhancements: Assist in the development, modification, and implementation of financial systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Accounts Receivable and Payable: Oversee the accounts receivable and payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing and payment processing.
• Tax Support: Provide support for monthly tax filings, collaborating with tax advisors as needed.

Qualifications & Skills: To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Minimum education requirement: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field. A Master's in Business Administration is a plus.
• CPA is strongly preferred, with Big 4 experience being a plus.
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Experience in Aviation is a plus.
• Strong technical accounting skills and analytical ability.
• Prior experience with SEC reporting (10-K/10-Q) in a publicly traded company.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct, Blackline, or similar accounting software is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, look-ups, and complex formulas.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail.
