Direct Support Professional (DSP)/ Day Counselor

Description Community Support Services, Inc. (CSS) is a non-profit organization based in Gaithersburg, MD. CSS is committed to providing inclusive and innovative community-based services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in their pursuit of individually chosen life goals to live, work, learn, interact with others, and recreate in their community. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Employee must be able to effectively use non-adverse physical intervention strategies with individuals with autism of varying heights, weights and levels of physical strength according to the guidelines presented in MANDT training. Location : Onsite/In-Person
***$25.47 is the rate after all training and compliance has been completed. The starting rate is $22.16 for this position until training is complete.
- Paid Orientation and Training
- Full Time Benefits
- Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion and demonstration of techniques taught in the MANDT, CPR & First Aid training's, other training's as required by CSS which are provided in orientation.
- Successfully complete annual re-certification of the MANDT.
- Recommended to have a valid driver's license and a driving record free of any moving violations for the past two (2) years.
