Equipment Technician

Equipment Technician The Equipment Technician will be responsible for safely cleaning and disinfecting medical equipment and maintaining appropriate par levels for each department. Roles & Responsibilities Walk and/or stand for long periods of time. Answer and respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff. Appropriately clean and disinfect medical equipment using approved disinfectants. Read par sheets and inventory levels. Adhere to hospital policies and infection control processes. Obtain supplies via the Stock Acquisition Process. Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule. Operate a pushcart for transporting equipment. Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area. Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor. Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures. Stop at risk behavior of others and self. Work as part of a team with other employees. Perform repetitive tasks. Maintain a clean work area. Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules. Take direction and respond to supervision. Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers. Fill in during staff shortages. Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items. Use proper personal protective equipment. Present a professional appearance and conduct. Understand customer service and satisfaction. Understand reporting systems and the environment. Qualifications No specific education requirements. Completion of all safety and task training certifications. Ability to read inventory forms. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team. Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment. Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use. Compensation and Shift Tuesdays – Saturdays: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Off Sundays and Mondays. Hourly pay: $15.00 – $16.00.
