About this Position Oracle Health Government Services is hiring a Federal Senior Engineer/Architect (Principal Consultant) to lead engineering activities and ensure successful deployment of the Federal EHR across design scope, project schedule, and engineering objectives. The role requires hands‑on experience with federal engineering projects (VA and/or DoD), Oracle Health Millennium, and operating within a secure, dynamic engineering environment. Responsibilities Be willing to accept new assignments and “dive in” with limited oversight, with proven track record of learning new technologies, architectures, and tools. Evaluate existing and proposed systems and system enhancements to determine requirements and ensure client integration solutions meet organizational and product needs. Assist with engineering activities as part of the Federal EHR deployments across the United States for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Design and develop solutions to integrate applications between Oracle Health and federal client systems. Create and document visual representations of systems and their inputs and outputs; partner with Oracle Health and client delivery teams to implement integration solutions within defined project scope. Collaborate with engineering teams, development teams, client end users, and other stakeholders as appropriate, thriving on large‑scale, distributed systems and seeking ways to automate manual tasks. Ensure work products meet (and frequently exceed) quality requirements. Monitor and control work, anticipating and avoiding issues to the maximum extent possible. Assist with staffing needs, including interviews. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of engineering experience. Hands‑on experience assisting or leading engineering projects across multiple teams. 3rd‑party vendor management and engineering project management experience. Federal EHR (VA and/or DoD) engineering and deployment experience. Federal cyber understanding/experience. Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) applications/platforms. Experience with cloud technologies (Oracle Cloud or similar). Preferred: previous federal contracting experience. Required: travel up to 25%; US citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Benefits Salary range: $71,200 – $158,200 per year (may be eligible for bonus and equity).
