Registered Nurse (RN)

We are currently seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This position involves providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of complex medical conditions.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: 1:3-4
• Common Diagnoses: Pneumonia, ARDS, Covid-19 infection, hypertension urgency, angina, cardiac catheterization patients, ETOH withdrawal
• Required Certifications: NIHSS, ACLS, BLS
• Experience Required: Previous PCU experience
• Titration of Drips: Required (drips include Amiodarone, Diltiazem, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, Lasix, Dobutamine)
• Nurse Aide Ratio: Yes, 1:10
• RT Equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, High flow oxygen
• Monitoring: Remote monitoring techs with RN approval

Shifts and Scheduling

• Shifts: 12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: 2 of the winter holidays
• Floating Requirement: Yes, within the region

• Orientation: Unit/Department specific orientation provided
• Parking: Free onsite parking available
• Cancellation Policy: The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, and 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks.
• Charting System: EPIC
