Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join a well-established AAHA-accredited companion animal practice in Western New York. This role focuses on providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for dogs and cats in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

The veterinarian will work alongside experienced veterinary professionals while delivering high-quality medicine, performing routine surgeries and dentistry, and building long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
• Diagnose and treat medical conditions in companion animals
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and preventive care
• Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures
• Interpret laboratory results, digital radiographs, and other diagnostic studies
• Educate pet owners regarding treatment options, preventive care, and home care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians and hospital staff to deliver exceptional patient care
• Foster strong client relationships while contributing to a positive team environment

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
• Active New York Veterinary License or eligibility for licensure
• Minimum 2+ years of companion animal clinical experience preferred
• Experience performing routine surgery and dentistry preferred
• Strong diagnostic, communication, and client relationship skills
• Commitment to evidence-based veterinary medicine and continuous learning
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced practice
