Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join a well-established AAHA-accredited companion animal practice in Western New York. This role focuses on providing comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for dogs and cats in a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The veterinarian will work alongside experienced veterinary professionals while delivering high-quality medicine, performing routine surgeries and dentistry, and building long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions in companion animals
- Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Provide wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and preventive care
- Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dental procedures
- Interpret laboratory results, digital radiographs, and other diagnostic studies
- Educate pet owners regarding treatment options, preventive care, and home care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and hospital staff to deliver exceptional patient care
- Foster strong client relationships while contributing to a positive team environment
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent)
- Active New York Veterinary License or eligibility for licensure
- Minimum 2+ years of companion animal clinical experience preferred
- Experience performing routine surgery and dentistry preferred
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and client relationship skills
- Commitment to evidence-based veterinary medicine and continuous learning
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced practice
