Responsibilities
- Provide scrub and circulating nurse coverage for cardiovascular operating room procedures, including complex cardiac cases.
- Maintain a sterile field, prepare instruments and equipment, perform instrument counts, and assist the surgical team as needed.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, communicate with anesthesia, and uphold patient safety standards and aseptic protocols.
- Set up and position the OR, manage equipment and supplies, and support efficient room turnaround between cases.
- Document intraoperative events and ensure accurate case cart and instrumentation records; assist with post-operative transfers as directed.

Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license and BLS certification.
- Minimum 2 years CVOR experience in a Level 1 trauma center.
- Strong scrub experience on cardiac surgeries with circulating nurse experience.
- Ability to float to additional ORs (Bell OR, Cambridge OR) and SPD as needed.
- Weekend rotation required; on-call up to 1 weekend per month with a 2-hour minimum call-back; some holidays.
- Credentialing expectations: CBC, DS, and lab work completed within 72 hours of offer acceptance.
- Education: RN with active Kansas license.
