RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST - FULL TIME

Description Parkway Medical - OHWC LHH Campus Essential Functions Demonstrates competency in the operation of all radiographic equipment assigned to the radiology department. Prepares the patient and work environment for the successful completion of radiographic examination. Produces diagnostic radiographs according to department standards and protocols and provides pertinent information on x‑ray requests. Performs basic patient care protocols under the direction of the radiologists and assists with emergency code situations in accordance with clinic policies. Demonstrates proper radiation safety procedures. Functions as a delegated agent of the physician and practices under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Uses independent, professional, ethical judgment and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic medical procedures, including ultrasound, applying elements of the ALARA principle. Has basic knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures for operating X‑ray equipment, including human anatomy and proper patient positioning to secure desired images, and methods for processing images. Can administer first aid in emergency medical situations (CPR). Must demonstrate competency and perform any one (1) specialty routinely. Requirements High School diploma or GED. Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiology Technologist program and certification by ARRT. Florida Licensed Radiology Technologist.
