Intern - Machining

The Opportunity Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Machining Intern to join our team. Job Requirements and Responsibilities: Currently enrolled in a machinist certificate program at one of the Utah Technology Colleges (OWTC, DTC, etc.). Completion of some of the curriculum is preferred but not required. Must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the internship. Must demonstrate technical aptitude; machining experience is not required. Interns must maintain 20 hours per week and a progress rate of 67% at the Utah Technology College to remain an intern. Internship duration: 20–40 hours per week, part‑time or full‑time, depending on job openings and student preference. Paid tuition assistance is provided for students who need it. Starting pay is $13.94 per hour with increases as the student progresses through the program. Students may be eligible for full‑time employment after completing as little as 900 hours of coursework. High School diploma or GED required. Physical and Regulatory Requirements: Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from 4 inches to a height of 25 inches (use lift assist or assistance from others when lifting more than 50 lbs.). Must be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs. Must have a grip strength of at least 50 lbs. U.S. citizenship is required.
