Senior AI and ML Solutions Architect Ashburn, VA / Onsite Blu Omega is seeking a Senior AI and ML Solutions Architect to support a federal program focused on enterprise cloud and integration services. This role operates within a hybrid cloud environment and is responsible for designing and implementing AI solution architecture and strategy to address client needs while complying with organizational goals and ethical considerations. The position requires experience supporting AI and machine learning architecture and delivery in mission-driven, regulated enterprise environments.

Program Overview Mission overview: Supports client's acquisition and integration of commercial cloud services and integration across on-premise and hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement effective AI solution architecture or strategy using approaches of various AI technologies and methods
• Comply with organizational strategies, business goals, and ethical considerations
• Work on unusually complex problems and provide highly innovative solutions
• Operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed action or decision
• Mentor or supervise employees in company and technical competencies
• Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of complex AI programs
• Design and implement enterprise-scale SaaS/PaaS solutions and/or Databricks-based data platforms
• Architect and implement AI/generative AI solutions leveraging Google Gemini Enterprise or similar enterprise AI platforms
• Design and implement enterprise access management solutions, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, ABAC, and identity integration patterns
• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and agent-based workflows for enterprise or government organizations
• Integrate enterprise data sources, APIs, and connectors into AI, analytics, search, or decision-support platforms
• Apply cloud architecture, security, governance, and scalable system design within regulated enterprise environments
• Translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with data science, machine learning (ML), deep learning, or AI, including leading end to end architecture, design, and delivery of complex AI programs
• 5+ years of experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale SaaS/PaaS solutions and/or Databricks-based data platforms
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including deployment and management of cloud-native applications and services
• Experience architecting and implementing AI/generative AI solutions leveraging Google Gemini Enterprise or similar enterprise AI platforms
• Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise access management solutions, including authentication, authorization, RBAC, ABAC, and identity integration patterns
• Hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying AI agents and agent-based workflows for enterprise or government organizations
• Experience integrating enterprise data sources, APIs, and connectors into AI, analytics, search, or decision-support platforms
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, security, governance, and scalable system design within regulated enterprise environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a CS, Engineering, or Data Science field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with edge deployments and optimization strategies, including quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation
• Experience with MLOps for production and ML workloads
• Experience working with cybersecurity teams to develop and review technical documentation and security control implementation required to achieve and maintain ATO

Compensation

Salary Range: $180,000.00 - $220,000.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
