The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.
Capitol supports families in the San Antonio Area and surrounding counties (Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, DeWitt, Frio, Gillespie, Goliad, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, Victoria, Wilson). Qualifications include a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) with current and unencumbered license to practice professional nursing in the state of employment, an associates' degree in vocational/practical nursing from an accredited program, two (2) years of recent nursing experience, valid CPR certification, good verbal and written communication and organization skills, and access to reliable transportation.
