Senior Mental Health Counselor - Palliative Care Providence Health and Services, Girdwood, AK Full Time Schedule : Monday to Friday Day shift Description The Senior Mental Health Counselor is responsible for providing counseling, education, and case management to clients as a member of a multidisciplinary Palliative Care team. Additionally, the role includes leadership and mentoring duties to support growth and increase quality for clients and other caregivers. The counselor assists leadership in developing and maintaining program processes and group curriculum, demonstrates advanced clinical skills, serves as a resource for other clinicians, and exemplifies the Providence Core Values. Required qualifications: Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Social Work, or a health‑related field. Basic Life Support (Facility Managed) upon hire. At least 5 years of clinical experience. Benefits and Compensation Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates for this position. The successful candidate’s pay will be determined based on relevant experience and other factors. The base pay range is $40.11 to $62.27 per hour, with potential for shift differentials, standby/on‑call pay, overtime, additional premiums, and bonus opportunities.
