Job Description
Serves as technical authority to perform/coordinate/oversee troubleshooting and analysis of gas turbine engines to determine air worthiness of propulsion systems installed on aircraft on the flight-line and uninstalled in back shop and test cell capacities.
Coordinates, oversees and performs the disassembly, repair, overhaul, inspection and reassembly of aircraft propulsion systems, sub-assemblies, and components.
Skilled/certified in the operation and maintenance of diagnostic test equipment, on-board electronic equipment, a variety of special equipment, hand, measurement and power tools. Maintain, inspect, operate and certify test cell and hush house.
Enforces and complies with safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area. Prepares effective training plans to maximize training for assigned personnel.
Certify, utilize and enforce the work produced under the agency program and applicable commercial aircraft/propulsion manuals. Perform Engine Health Management (EHM) program duties and properly document propulsion system maintenance in historical records and the Maintenance Information System (MIS).
