Mobile-MAT (M-MAT) is a mobile clinic that provides medication‑assisted treatment (MAT) combined with counseling and psychosocial support to reduce opioid‑related harms. It serves as a gateway to all services offered by Circles of Care and expands access to underserved populations across the county. Program Summary By positioning the mobile clinic at various community locations, the M‑MAT unit increases MAT initiation, engagement, and retention while delivering education and referrals to other levels of care. The goal is to improve treatment outcomes for individuals with opioid use disorder and other behavioral health concerns. Job Summary The M‑MAT Counselor provides counseling and support services to clients undergoing MAT. The role is primarily community‑based and requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and regular travel within the designated service area. Responsibilities Provide counseling and support services to individuals receiving medication‑assisted treatment. Engage clients in their recovery journey across community settings, healthcare facilities, and outreach locations. Maintain accurate documentation and record‑keeping for all counseling sessions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other professionals to support clients’ recovery goals. Travel regularly within the designated service area to reach underserved populations. Adapt flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate client needs. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred). Licensure or certification as a professional substance use counselor (CAC, CAP, or MCAP). Experience providing counseling services to individuals with substance use disorders, preferably in an M‑MAT or harm‑reduction setting. Knowledge of evidence‑based counseling techniques and therapeutic modalities relevant to addiction treatment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in documentation and record‑keeping, with attention to detail and accuracy.
