Campaign Associate/Consultant

We are a political consulting firm seeking a driven, detail-oriented Campaign Associate / Consultant to work directly under the firm's principal leading campaigns throughout California. Campaigns include municipal, state legislative, Congressional, independent expenditure, ballot measure and advocacy. This is a full-time, in-person position for someone who wants high-level and diverse campaign consulting experience in California.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supporting campaigns from early planning through Election Day, including planning and executing:
• Field/Voter Contact
• Political Endorsements/Coalition Building
• Earned media/press
• Budget, timelines, goals
• Drafting campaign communications, including:
• Campaign emails and social media
• Press releases and media materials
• Talking points, scripts, internal memos
• Coordination of senior campaign staff and consultants
• Day to day engagement and problem solving with candidates

Qualifications

• At least one full cycle of campaign experience
• Candidates with diverse backgrounds in communications or organizing encouraged to apply
• Strong writing skills essential. Do not apply if you're not comfortable writing a lot and fast.
• Working knowledge of field basics and voter data tools: PDI or VAN and Excel
• Basic graphic design experience using Canva or similar tools preferred
• Excitement to work long hours on hard, competitive campaigns of all kinds
