Floor Manager, Mercadito Lincoln Park

Mercadito is hiring an experienced Floor Manager for our Lincoln Park location at 2423 N Lincoln Ave .

We are looking for a hospitality-driven leader who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing a high-volume restaurant floor. The ideal candidate leads by example, communicates clearly, and understands how to balance guest satisfaction, team development, and daily operational needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and supporting the front-of-house team throughout service

• Managing floor flow, reservations, seating, and guest pacing

• Maintaining Mercadito’s steps of service and hospitality standards

• Conducting pre-shift meetings and communicating daily priorities

• Handling guest concerns professionally and providing thoughtful resolutions

• Coaching and developing servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff

• Monitoring labor and making staffing adjustments based on business levels

• Working closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth communication and execution

• Assisting with opening, closing, cash-handling, and daily administrative responsibilities

• Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional restaurant environment

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience required

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to remain composed and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

• Strong understanding of restaurant service standards and floor management

• Proficiency with OpenTable and Toast is strongly preferred

• Experience with scheduling, labor management, and employee development preferred

• Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required

• BASSET and Food Handler certifications required or must be obtained upon hire
