Human Resources Generalist - Payroll/Benefits/HRIS

They are seeking a Payroll, Benefits & HRIS Specialist to join their Human Resources team and serve as the subject matter expert for payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems. Annual incentive opportunity Medical, dental, and vision insurance Disability coverage Life and AD&D insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and paid holidays Employee Assistance Program Position Summary The Payroll, Benefits & HRIS Specialist is responsible for the administration and continuous improvement of payroll, employee benefits, and HR information systems. This role serves as a key resource for employees and management while ensuring compliance, data integrity, and efficient HR processes. Key Responsibilities Maintain employee records and data within the HRIS, including compensation, timekeeping, paid leave, and payroll deductions. Process and audit payroll activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations. Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Support employee understanding of benefit offerings through education and communication initiatives. Identify opportunities to improve HR processes through automation and workflow enhancements. Assist with HRIS implementations, upgrades, testing, and ongoing system maintenance. Provide HRIS support and training to internal users. Generate reports and analyze HR data to support business decisions. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations. Support employee engagement and HR-related initiatives as needed. Qualifications Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll administration, benefits administration, and HRIS management. Strong understanding of payroll practices, benefits administration, and multi-state compliance requirements. Experience working with HRIS platforms and payroll systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Manufacturing or multi-site workforce experience is highly preferred. Preferred Experience HRIS implementation, optimization, or system migration projects. Experience supporting hourly and salaried employee populations. Knowledge of process improvement and workflow automation. Multi-state payroll administration.
