Machine Operator - Senior level

Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., is searching for a Control Process Operator that will be based in our Caruthersville, MO plant. In this role, you will drive sustainable continuous improvements across the Marine Business Unit, delivering breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and cost, while building cultural change throughout the organization. The Control Process Operator works closely with each plant's leadership and department employees to achieve results. This position requires strong technical lean manufacturing and hands‑on leadership skills, along with a passion for operations excellence to be successful. Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group is comprised of Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. Arcosa Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat‑deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities. What You’ll Do Set up and operate complex machines to produce acceptable parts according to specifications. Train lower‑level operators on machine operations. Read blueprints and shop specifications to ensure completed parts meet the required dimensional tolerances. Inspect completed cut parts and components for acceptance. Load and unload material using overhead and/or Mag Crane. Follow production schedules. Ability to follow verbal or simple written instructions and procedures. Troubleshoot and correct non‑maintenance machining problems. Perform general housekeeping/clean‑up in assigned work area. Follow all safety processes and procedures. Maintain and complete all required records. Ability to function as a team member. Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Working primarily on the water What You’ll Need 2 or more years of related machine operation experience is preferred. Work requires the ability to read blueprints and shop orders, and to write in order to complete standard records. Must have knowledge and ability to set up, troubleshoot, and operate complex machines. Demonstrates ability to operate multiple machines in the department. Overhead Crane experience. Computer skills are beneficial. Ability to use hand tools, including measuring tape. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Arcosa Inc.
