Senior Project Manager

The Mississippi Water Resources Research Institute is hiring a Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple collaborative grant projects focused on rural water and wastewater systems. This role involves planning, implementing, managing, and coordinating project activities, supervising staff, delivering technical assistance, and ensuring compliance with project objectives. Highlights Manage and coordinate multiple field-based grant projects related to rural water and wastewater systems. Supervise full-time, part-time employees, intermittent workers, and students involved in projects. Provide technical assistance for water and wastewater system compliance and functionality. Deliver educational presentations and prepare reports for system operators and grant sponsors. Ensure quality management and timely completion of project goals and reporting requirements. Procuring and managing equipment and material inventories for projects. Required skills include project management, scientific research methodologies, and proficiency with personal computers and software applications. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Agricultural Economics, or related field plus 5 years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications: Over 10 years of water or wastewater systems experience, especially managing multiple projects concurrently, with knowledge of regulations.
