Registered Nurse - Critical Care

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 12-hour days, every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Critical Care will function independently under the general guidance of the Director, adhering to unit-specific guidelines and protocols. The role requires the ability to take independent action and demonstrate sound judgment in providing high-quality patient care. The RN will utilize strong time management, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, along with critical thinking capabilities, especially in emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor vital signs and manage ventilators, ICP, and hemodynamic measurements.
• Utilize Meditech Expanse for patient management and documentation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and nursing best practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years current Critical Care experience.
• Active Massachusetts RN license.
• IV qualifications are required.
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification.
• Preferred certifications: TNCC and PEARS.
• BSN is preferred.
