How you’ll make an impact in this role

Ascension St. Vincent is a leading tertiary referral center and home to one of the Midwest’s most advanced heart failure and transplant programs. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated cardiologist to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

• Join an established team of cardiologists and APPs

• Call structure: 1 in 7

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system

• Be a part of the largest heart transplant program and cardiac surgery program in the state

• 30 heart transplants annually and 80 durable LVAD implants per year

• Expanding ECMO program

• Full spectrum of temporary mechanical circulatory support (Impella, Centrimag, IABP, etc.)

• Implementation of a formal shock program

• Pulmonary hypertension care integrated with advanced therapies

• Robust clinical research programs in advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension and critical care

• Malpractice coverage with tail

• Fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Heart Failure

• Eligible for Indiana state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Evaluate and treat patients with high-level diagnostic precision.

• Manage patient discharge and care transitions with multidisciplinary teams

• Deliver expert medical services to patients in assigned areas.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
