TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Nebraska City, Nebraska, 68410!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Refusal to remove artificial nails will result in termination of contract. Description: RN's are required to pass a pass/fail exam during orientation. The exam is open book and covers skills learned during the orientation. Resources will be provided to help nurses pass the exam. A score of 90% is required to pass; failure to achieve this score will result in termination. The unit has a ratio of 1:2 for patients. There are 4 beds in the unit. The unit sees approximately 100-125 births per year. Blocked scheduling is approved. Common diagnoses and types of patients include antepartum, triage, labor, postpartum, and newborn. Common medication drips include Pitocin, Insulin, fluids, and antibiotics. IV pumps used are Alaris. There is a charge nurse on each shift. The charge nurse does not take an assignment. Weekend requirements include working every third weekend. Floating to MedSurg is not required, but it would be helpful if nurses can assist. The cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC. A BSN degree is not required. Trauma level care setting is acute. Shift notes indicate the position is for 12-hour nights.
