Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations on a 28-bed Medical Surgical unit
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 on night shifts, delivering safe and effective nursing care
• Collaborate with charge nurses, nurse aides, and patient care techs to coordinate unit operations
• Float to the Emergency Room as needed to provide 1:1 patient supervision
• Adhere to all unit-specific policies, dress code requirements, and infection control standards including fingernail policy
• Complete a required open-book skills assessment during orientation with a minimum passing score of 90%

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and must not currently hold a full-time, part-time, or PRN position with any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility
• Must comply with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
• All requested time off (7 days or fewer) must be submitted upfront prior to or at time of submission for the 13-week contract period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Comfort with flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays as needed
